Subscan API
free-with-key (via PubFi gateway) | paid-only direct Subscan plans
New free access is only via PubFi (pubfi.ai): account-bound PubFi API key, ':free' route variants, usage-based pricing and x402 payments; routes/limits set by live PubFi registry. Direct Subscan keys are paid plans only; anonymous fallback no longer a supported onboarding path.
Direct plan quotas depend on plan (example 10 req/s shared across networks); ratelimit-* headers returned. PubFi limits per live registry.

Subscan changelog 1.0.2 routes all new free access through PubFi (pubfi.ai) with an account-bound key and ':free' route variants under usage-based pricing and x402; direct Subscan API keys are sold only as paid plans at pro.subscan.io/pricing (prices not fetchable). The previously documented 100,000 req/day free plan no longer appears.
