Web3 Provider Watch — 2026-10-10

Claimable

Colosseum’s Crypto World’s Fair closes Oct 12 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific; its official rules list $840,000 in prizes and up to $2.5 million in seed funding. Register and submit. Goldsky offers a one-time $100 Starter credit without a card (pricing). Eligible pre-Series A teams can apply to Helius for eight free Business months (Launchpad). Onchain startups can apply to Alchemy for credits (amount unpublished) and $5,000 in AWS credits (program). Dwellir offers qualified teams above 1 billion monthly requests a custom discount of 50% or more; contact sales (pricing).

New services and changes

Bitquery announced a hosted MCP endpoint for on-chain trades, prices and candles, trader analytics, tracing and labeled-entity tools. Its docs say an account is required, a free tier is available, and heavier usage is metered against the existing plan (announcement, docs). Selvage Labs lists a keyless, shared full-archive RPC for Polkadot Asset Hub over HTTPS and WebSocket. The announcement gives fair-use limits of 10 open connections and 20 new connections or HTTPS calls per second per IP, with bursts to 40; provider attribution is medium confidence, and wider coverage or dedicated-node prices are not established (announcement, status). The network registry now includes Polkadot Asset Hub.

Act by date

QuickNode’s Solana Agave v4.3.0 maintenance remains in progress through Oct 11 00:00 UTC; its notice says RPC, WebSocket and gRPC remain available. Oct 12 brings Colosseum’s cutoff, Etherscan’s opBNB support end, and QuickNode Avalanche and Sonic maintenance. QuickNode BCH maintenance is Oct 13; no current board entry confirms the prior Sonic v2.2.4 date. Hyperliquid maintenance is Oct 14. On Oct 15 Etherscan’s Arc and Robinhood community endpoints are free for the final day, and QuickNode schedules Ethereum and OP-stack maintenance. Sui’s “mid-October” JSON-RPC target has no firm date. Ankr Kaia endpoints end Oct 16. CoinGecko schedules API and web/mobile maintenance Oct 19, 03:00–03:30 UTC; GeckoTerminal’s public API and app are excluded (notice).

Risks and gaps

QuickNode still marks Solana Degraded Performance while investigating Alpenglow regenesis; the incident notice gives no specific RPC impact (status). Nodit’s Aptos Testnet suspension has no restoration confirmation after its provisional Oct 9 target. Alchemy’s current page lists Free at 300 CU/s and 15 RPS, while an Oct 8 capture showed 500 CU/s and 25 RPS; with no effective date and an unresolved RPS conflict, this is not a confirmed cut. Infura’s pricing table and same-page FAQ also disagree on Free quotas. Several official pages were unavailable or incomplete, including The Graph Market, Zeeve, Lava, LlamaNodes and Syndica. Oct 8 Birdeye, Tatum and Nansen notices have no publication time; Birdeye’s detail link fails, so their position relative to the exact 48-hour cutoff is unresolved. The news sweep was bounded, not exhaustive.
