Web3 Provider Watch — 2026-10-12
Claimable
Colosseum’s Crypto World’s Fair closes tonight at 11:59 p.m. Pacific; official rules list $840,000 in prizes and up to $2.5 million in seed funding (register and submit). Goldsky offers a one-time $100 Starter credit without a card (pricing); approved pre-Series A startups can apply to Helius for eight free Business months (Launchpad); and onchain startups can apply to Alchemy for credits (amount not published) plus $5,000 in AWS credits (program). Dwellir lists custom Enterprise volume discounts but publishes no qualifying threshold or percentage; request a quote (pricing). Nirvana Labs’ Startup Credits offer $1,000 for eligible Founders, up to $25,000 for backed Portfolio teams and up to $50,000 for qualifying Agents teams; a business email and payment card are required, and backed tiers require proof (terms and application). Its separate welcome campaign gives first company accounts $250 through Oct 31, offers up to three months free on a 12-month commitment, and includes $250 referral credits (campaign terms).
New services and changes
Alchemy is investigating an upstream stall on Anime Sepolia at block 1,823,674. Recent-state reads, new confirmations and real-time subscriptions are affected; historical data remains available, and the status board says other networks are unaffected (incident). QuickNode completed its Tron Mainnet and Nile Testnet v4.8.2.2 upgrade on Oct 11 at 22:36 UTC; the notice documents refined contract-deployment validation and Stake 2.0/SELFDESTRUCT edge-case behavior (maintenance report).
Act by date
Oct 12: Colosseum closes at 11:59 p.m. Pacific; Etherscan’s opBNB API deprecation is effective today but has no published cutoff hour; QuickNode scheduled all-day Avalanche and Sonic maintenance. At the 11:55 UTC cutoff, both notices still showed Scheduled, while the overview showed All Systems Operational. Oct 13: QuickNode BCH maintenance. Oct 14: Hyperliquid maintenance. Oct 15: Etherscan Arc and Robinhood community endpoints move to Lite+; QuickNode Ethereum and OP-stack maintenance; Sui’s mid-October JSON-RPC decommission remains an unconfirmed date placeholder. Oct 16: Ankr Kaia endpoint shutdown. Oct 19: CoinGecko database maintenance, 03:00–03:30 UTC; GeckoTerminal is excluded.
Changes to existing providers
No confirmed rate, price or free-quota change emerged from the 30-row rotation. GeckoTerminal’s official help says 30 calls/min while its FAQ says approximately 10; no effective date is published, so the current cap remains unresolved. Dwellir’s current docs no longer substantiate the prior 50%+/1B-month discount figure. Moralis’ free Starter terms remain conflicted.
Gaps
The news sweep covered selected official pages, not all 168 providers; Discord was not checked. Dune and Envio pricing pages did not render usable terms, Grove’s recorded numeric cap was not corroborated, dRPC’s pricing page did not confirm the current MegaETH roster, and several other provider terms remain incomplete. This is a bounded official-source review.
