Web3 Provider Watch — 2026-10-05

Claimable

Goldsky offers a $100 one-time credit without a card; its 50% first-year discount requires applying through a participating partner network. Approved Helius Startup Launchpad teams get eight months of Business service; apply through the program form, with working-product and pre-Series-A criteria. The Alchemy Startup Program includes $5,000 in AWS credits, while Base Builder Stack lists up to $5,000 in Alchemy credits; apply through Alchemy’s startup page. Base builders can request 20% off Dune annual plans by emailing support@dune.com from a work email, or apply to Birdeye for 30% off six months and free Business Lite for qualifying hackathon/Base Batches teams. Blockmachine’s Base listing offers its first month free through a linked form. ZAN offers 10% off a one-time purchase of more than 10,000 Solana Trading Boost Points. Team1 grants, QuickNode Startup, BlockPI Sui credits and Dwellir’s high-volume discount remain open through their official application/contact routes; eligibility varies.

New service

Blockmachine was added for its documented Base RPC; this is new coverage, not a confirmed recent launch. Keyless service is limited to 60 request units per minute per IP and has no archive access; the account Free plan provides 10,000 monthly request units, archive and trace access. Paid plans start at $9/month. Blockmachine says its Base endpoint proxies an upstream node pool without independent validator sampling against a Base reference node. Its docs list geth-style debug_* tracing; parity trace_* is unavailable.

Act by date

Base stops publishing V1 node snapshots effective Oct 5; move snapshot automation to V2. On Oct 6, Ethereum Sepolia’s Glamsterdam fork is scheduled for 13:53:36 UTC, alongside QuickNode Polygon and Tempo maintenance; QuickNode’s Starknet notice still conflicts between Oct 5 and Oct 6. QuickNode Hedera Relay and Stacks maintenance is Oct 7. On Oct 8, Base public RPC removes debug, trace and txpool namespaces and lowers its read limit; The Graph ends BNB Chain/Polygon Studio staging queries, and QuickNode has Hedera Mirror and OP-stack maintenance. Oct 12 brings Colosseum’s 11:59 p.m. Pacific cutoff, Etherscan’s opBNB API support end and QuickNode Avalanche maintenance; QuickNode Sonic is Oct 13. Etherscan’s Robinhood/Arc community endpoints stay free through Oct 15. Sui still says “mid-October” for full-node JSON-RPC code removal, without an exact day.

Changes and gaps

QuickNode completed the Solana Testnet Agave v4.4.0-beta.0 upgrade at 07:30 UTC today; RPC and WebSocket endpoints remained available, with client response and subscription changes. The bounded official-source 48-hour sweep found no other dated item or confirmed provider launch. DefiLlama’s sources conflict on API price ($250 versus $300) and limits; FastNear’s public free RPC could not be opened; ZAN’s free throughput remains split between 270 and 400 credits/second. Biconomy commercial terms remain inaccessible. The Arbitrum Open House date passed, but its timezone and final outcome remain unknown.
